A frame house on a sloped plot – how to use difficult terrain in an individual project? (photos and video)

Sloping plots are often perceived as problematic. However, in practice, with the right design and implementation approach, they can become the investment's greatest asset.

The presented project is a frame house constructed based on a custom design, fully adapted to the site conditions. A key assumption was to utilize the natural contours of the plot rather than level it.
This made it possible to design a building with a functional layout, in which individual levels are directly related to the terrain's topography. This approach not only optimizes earthwork costs but also achieves improved building performance.
A key element of the design is the living area, with its large windows and open views. The inclusion of a covered terrace further enhances the functionality of this space, allowing it to be used throughout most of the year.
Frame technology offers a significant advantage in this type of project. It enables precise adaptation of the structure to ground conditions and rapid, controlled construction on the construction site.
It's also worth noting the foundation solutions, which were individually designed, taking into account the slope of the terrain. This element largely determines the durability and safety of the entire investment.
This project confirms that there is no one-size-fits-all solution for every plot. A personalized approach is key – both at the design and construction stages.
At UNIHAUS, we have been building houses based on this principle for years, combining production experience with construction practice.
We also present a video of the assembly of this wonderful house:
